John was extremely helpful and is teaching me the skills to have a happier relationship with Honey.
John assisted us greatly with our troublesome Dachshund. Bailey was attacking her much older brother, had obedience issues and had trouble walking on her lead. John explained the reasons behind Bailey’s behaviour, which enabled us to understand why she was behaving the way she was. John provided us with practical techniques to bring Baileys behaviour and mannerisms under control. Bailey will always be somewhat of a work in progress, but thanks to John's excellent help and knowledge we have the skills and resources to ensure she keeps improving.
Very professional, nice guy, and so far so good with training methods.
John came to see me two weeks ago for really, a 5 year review on my Jack Russell X Fox Terrier for a different problem to my initial issues when he was only 8 months old, when I lived in Sydney. I have recently moved to the Central Coast and my house is situated on a corner with timber wide spaced fencing as well as the deck, along the house and front yard. This makes for quite a visually exposed large front area. Billy sees every dog walking up from the corner to the other corner, sometimes children are playing across the road in the street and owners with their dogs walking past any time throughout the day. Billy was constantly doing his full territorial barking pretty much every single time he noticed activity outside and I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got too much for me and for my new neighbours. John's explained what is going on for Billy at the time of the activity outside the house. Why he is barking and what he is trying to tell me.I am so happy that he is listening to me and reacting to my commands. The other day, two dogs went past, and a child with its parents, all walking about a foot from my front gate and Billy stood at the fence, looking through the gap and wagging his tail. Not a sound came out of him. I am also very happy that when he is let outside for the final time at night and he wants to hunt in the front garden, he has come straight in for me. I don't have to stand out there with a torch and call him 5 times to come back in. He responds to me straight away. That also is a blessing now. I would recommend John to anyone on the Central Coast that is having any issues with their dog/s. I found him to be a very good trainer. He stayed for quite a long time to make sure I absolutely understood. I think the information and training is invaluable.
I was so surprised in such a short time my pups were taking notice of the commands. John is so helpful and very good to understand.
John trained me to train my dog. I was most impressed with results achieved after only one session. It took less than 5 mins. John was absolutely fantastic showing me techniques. I'm not stressed or anxious anymore now I know what to do.
We are blown away with the improvement in Brody. Just wished we'd used this service sooner, it's been fantastic! Thanks to John.
John explains things well and makes sense. Looking forward to continuing working with him to improve Jack's behaviour.
John was incredible! Within minutes our dog learnt to not jump up on people. I couldn't believe it! John explained things so well to help us understand our dog better and know how she sees the world. I feel more in control now and less stressed out. I've been raving about John and Bark Busters to everyone!!!
Very good communication, with easy to understand aims and goals for training. Fast reply for questions with full & easy instruction to achieve desired outcomes.
Interesting couple hours.. learnt a lot of things that we should do, shouldnt be doing. Will be interesting trying it all out. John was very thorough and easy to talk to. Appeared to very aware of his trade.
John explained everything in an easy way for us to follow and understand. We saw great results during our session and were very happy with the non physical techniques we were shown to use with Dozer. It was most enjoyable and very interesting to learn how to communicate with Dozer so he now understands what we want. John is a great teacher and this training has helped already, still more to learn but with his support we now know we will get there.
John is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about dog behaviour and dog training.
John was extremely thorough and made sure that everything he went through was detailed and correctly understood before moving on to the next point. We had an issue with our rescue cattle x kelpie Max nipping at strangers and although this specific problem was not covered in the training explicitly, the techniques that John gave us worked unbelievably well with Max and there was incredible improvement in his behaviour immediately after the first session. Within days they had stopped barking at the neighbour's dog all together. Both dogs now wait at the door for us to walk past them and then call then out when we leave the house. They will usually stop barking immediately when asked, will sit and stay and come when called. We have not yet trained them to walk on the lead, as it is difficult to find the time having recently had our second child (normally take them off-leash at a private property). However, John has given us the skills to be able to teach them to walk on the lead, and I am confident that in the future it will be possible. I would highly recommend John to anyone who wants more control over their dogs and a better relationship with their furry friends!
Just want to let you know how their first night and morning went after your training! They are already improving which makes us so happy!!! There was not one single bark!!! We can't believe it! We know there's still a long way to go but so far we are singing your praises.
Novel approach with astounding results in this early stage. Techniques are surprising and unexpected. Instant results using 'bah'!
I was thrilled with the immediate response in my dogs. I, and they, are much more relaxed now. Very happy with John's work.
John was amazing. Everything was explained really well and he made sure we understood the theory behind the training. Wookie is (or I should say was) a chronic jumper. We could barely go into the yard without him jumping all over everyone...within 2 minutes of the hands on training starting he was already not jumping! It was amazing...and makes us want to be around our dog even more. People visiting us since the first session have been blown away by the change in our dog. Wookie is happier and we are happier! Can't wait to see what the next sessions bring us !
I felt very knowledgeable after spending a few hours with John. Everything he told me made all the sense in the world. My dog picked things up quickly as well. I can use this knowledge with any dog I own now.
I am very pleased with this program! Very simple with results straight away. John explained everything very well.
Extremely happy, very noticeable results. John is a great trainer and has highly motivated us in dealing with Candy's behavioural issues. Thanks.
John is professional, knowledgeable and an enthusiastic trainer. All of his techniques have worked a treat on our rescue dog. I am looking forward to seeing our Rosie progress over the months to come.
My dog was a puppy mill rescue and had severe anxiety issues. John gave me tips and techniques to help Moet enjoy life outside of a cage. Extremely happy with her progress.
I feel liberated! Knowledge is power, and thanks to John, I now know exactly what to do if Gryffyn misbehaves. I have an escalating scale of responses to bad behaviour that Gryffyn instinctively understands. I now have confidence in my ability to control my dog. I can take him for a walk without worrying about him seeing another dog, or, heaven forbid..joggers! I am no longer afraid of motor bikes, either, because I know what to do if Gryffyn tries to drag-race them as they pass us. I don't have to wrestle with him to get my socks back; one quiet word, and he spits them out. We are a work-in-progress, but thanks to John and Bark Busters, I can really SEE the progress.
Since immediately after the first lesson Murray has been constantly walking about the house with a slow wag in his tail and what looks like a smile on his face! This is something I haven't seen him do in years. I don't think I'll be able to tell John in words how much he's helped Murray and I, but hopefully this will let you at Bark Busters know how great a trainer you have on your hands, and how great I think your company's holistic training methods really are. So thanks John, and thank you Bark Busters!
John and the Bark Busters program are great and make a huge impact, giving us much greater confidence in leading our dog.
Very impressed with how quickly it worked
John is a fantastic trainer. He found the core of the problems we were having and arranged training to solve our issues. He made training fun and enjoyable.
We are very pleased with John and the training he provided.
As soon as John left I took George for a walk and immediately noticed that he was 100% better when I used the techniques John had taught us. The techniques all made sense.
We found John's training to be excellent. He is patience and takes the time to explain not only how to do it but the reasoning why. We found the techniques that he showed us to be effective and we can see the changes in our dogs behavior. After putting up with the bad behavior of our four legged friend for so long it is a relief that we now know how to deal with issues and believe that we will have a much better relationship with our dog which in turn has made our dog happier as well. John has been prompt and reliable on his visits and always re-instating that if we have any issues that we should contact him directly so he can help us.
Miracles happen ! As I sit here, there is tranquil peace and quiet, which is very unusual. Even with the dogs yapping next door, Molly is not responding. No barking at dragonflies either ! No toilet issues around the pool. It is like we have a different dog, so thank you so much, John.
John is very good and informative at what he does. John has a way of explaining things that is very clear.
The home visits make the training much more personalised with this dogs being in their own environment. John made sure we had plenty of practice before we used the technique on our dogs.
We had an excellent, informative afternoon with John. We have the beginnings of a training regime which will help Lily adjust to a suitable dog life in her new home. John is an excellent instructor, therapist, adviser on all matters dog.
We thought the training session was excellent. John was very patient and thorough and tailored the session for Daisy. Our learning was put to the test right on cue, and John was there to support us through Daisy jumping on the lounge!
The training helped us to realise that training the trainers (us) is the most important thing, as well as being consistant with training.
The training methods used were clear and easy to understand. Our dogs had started fighting with each other after having lived together for 2 years I now realise after starting the training that we had not been showing consistent leadership with our dogs and they were confused and were fighting over the position of top dog. After using the training consistently and getting all the adults in the household involved we are starting to see the problems resolve as John said we are knocking the bricks out one by one. The dogs are calmer Jada is now a joy to walk on the lead still tries to get ahead but is on a loose lead and starting to self check when she does get ahead. Tully is no longer jumping on us as much as she was and is also starting to self check when she does. Tully is actually giving up her beloved ball and Jada is no longer demanding attention all the time. The two dogs no longer rush to be first through the door ahead of each other and they no longer race me for the front door. If there is something exciting happening outside they no longer race to get out there, they look to me first if I'm not bothered neither are they. We are hopeful we will now not have to make the painful decision of trying to rehome one of our beloved dogs. The dogs were fine it was a problem with us the humans.
I found the theory very interesting. Loved it. It was good to "get in the dog's head" so to speak. Invaluable information. I feel much better educated now.
Dog responded instantly to techniques. John made the experience very entertaining. We are happy to see the changes in our dog. She is calm and responds well to our commands.
As 1st time owners of a puppy we were really nervous and stressed.John came over and explained to us how a dog thinks and gave us some basic training tips and this has made us much more relaxed and in control.I have already recommended him to 3 people.
John is a very passionate trainer and he had a very hard job retraining us!! We gained so much insight into how our dog, Sheldon, thinks and acts as he does. The training was easy to understand and to implement. We were having a terrible time with Sheldon barking and howling, especially at our neighbour. It was so successful, that after only 1 week, our neighbour thought we had moved!!!! We were starting to not like our dog, getting to the end of our tether. It was to the point where something had to be done or .........., but after the first session with John, we love Sheldon again. Thank you John - you are a Sheldon lifesaver.
We contacted Bark Busters as the next dog training company on a long list? our 2 year old kelpie cross, who we rescued at 10 weeks when living in Singapore, had severe dog fear aggression issues that made walking him a chore. It also resulted in him being attacked and more recently one of us being bitten while trying to separate him from another dog. We were a bit reluctant to try yet another system but we were desperate to find something that worked. We really wish we had contacted Bark Busters earlier, because we saw instant results in our dog's general behaviour at home, and more importantly for us, on the walk. We still cannot believe the difference some small adjustments have made? we now take him on extra walks and it's so nice to enjoy walking our dog. Where he used to jump, pull and lunge at other dogs, he now walks past them looking to us for instruction and it's just like walking a different (much better behaved) dog! John from Bark Busters was particularly helpful and patient with us and didn't make us feel like terrible owners at all. He shared his own similar experiences with his dog, which gave us hope that we would be able to enjoy walking our dog again. He even came out with us on a walk and showed us how to handle our dog and techniques to try. He also explained in really simple terms how dogs interact and communicate, and now our dog looks at us as if to say, "finally, you are talking my language!" We are so thankful for the wonderful training Bark Busters has provided us? we now have a calm, respectful dog who is a pleasure to take on a walk? something we never thought we would say!
John s very professional and knowledgable. He explains everything very well so you can understand fully what he means.
John was excellent. I don't think you would get anyone better. Nice personality, most helpful. Gave his all.
John was amazing in his knowledge, patience, and genuine care for our dogs. After the first session "Basic Obedience" was almost immediate in making Ruby and Sophie not jump up as we entered the room. We are now able to have two year old niece play in the back yard without the dogs jumping. AWESOME SUCCESS
